A little About ME...
As a bookkeeper my goal is to help my customers financials be as clear and understandable as possible. At Midplains Ag I am striving to provide that information to the company as a whole and to any clients that need assistance understanding their financial position. A firms/farms financial success is just part of the big picture. When it comes down to it I am doing what I love and loving what I do to help Midplains Ag and our clients achieve their goals.
As a crop insurance agent I'm here to use my skills and experiences to help our customers determine the best policy for their operation. I love teaching clients about different policies. My journey to becoming an agent was not your normal path. It came slowly and with a little bit of resistance. After helping with the back office tasks for a year I finally thought a heck I can talk to people about this. I got my crop insurance license in fall of 2017 in the wake of some other great personal challenges but I wouldn't have done it any differently. I'm still doing what I love and loving what I do.
When it comes down to it I am doing what I love and loving what I do to help Midplains Ag and our clients achieve their goals.
I grew up on a farm, ranch and feedlot in Central Nebraska. While growing up I was active in 4-H and FFA livestock and home environment projects. The experiences on the farm and in these activities lead me to the University of Nebraska – Lincoln after graduating from Palmer Public High School. My love of agriculture; nurtured as a youth by my parents, grandparents and community has only grown since attending the university and embarking on my present journey with Midplains Ag.
Experience
While getting my Master’s degree I worked at Rhea Cattle Company and Dehy Alfalfa Mills in Arlington, NE. As a member of their accounting staff I learned on the job the importance of clear financial statements and of accurate inventory management. I also became experienced in accounts payable and accounts receivable. Before this, I had worked for the First National Bank Northeast - Hooper Branch where I learned the value of good communication and a strong customer service mentality. These experiences combined to help me to fit well into my role as bookkeeper and client contact for Midplains Ag.
